BIRMINGHAM, Alabama, April 29, 2019 –ThreatAdvice, a NXTsoft Company (
www.nxtsoft.com) announced today that it has launched a new badge gamification system. Users of ThreatAdvice’s cybersecurity education and awareness system can now earn badges as they use the site and will be rewarded for actions such as completing cybersecurity training, passing phishing simulation tests and more. This enhancement complements ThreatAdvice’s existing gamification component, NxtQ, that consists of general and cybersecurity-related weekly live trivia where users compete to earn a top spot on their company’s leaderboard and earn points that they can cash in for a variety of gift cards.
ThreatAdvice is a cybersecurity education and awareness platform that provides over 100 cybersecurity education courses to educate companies and employees how to avoid and prevent cyber breaches.
“ThreatAdvice’s main focus is making cybersecurity education fun and rewarding for our users”, said Will Blackburn, Chief Technology Officer of ThreatAdvice. “Individuals learn best when they are enjoying the experience and feel rewarded for their efforts,” Blackburn said.
ThreatAdvice has future development plans to continue to augment the user experience as they continue to promote the importance of cybersecurity education and awareness to organizations of all types.
“Gamification is an important part of a successful platform. ThreatAdvice continues to allocate development efforts and dollars on these areas because the user experience is our top priority,” said David Brasfield, CEO of NXTsoft ThreatAdvice’s parent company. “By rewarding users with badges, we can help them have an enjoyable time on our application and retain the information they learn,” Brasfield said.
