East Idaho Credit Union Accelerates Consumer Lending with eSignatures

East Idaho, which serves more than 34,000 members, is now using IMM’s TotaleAtlas for document presentment as well as for both in-person and remote eSignature capabilities for its consumer lending transactions. East Idaho worked with IMM to map documents, enabling loan officers to prepare necessary lending forms in half the time previously spent. Since deploying IMM’s solutions, the credit union has also observed that documents now reach their final archival destination in half or even one-quarter of the time once required.

“We serve members locally or as far away as Malaysia, and whether someone resides in the community or elsewhere, the ability to sign documents from any location has dramatically accelerated our processes,” said Cindy High, vice president of lending and CLO for East Idaho Credit Union. “The way documents are now managed by TotaleAtlas allows us to more easily identify the required documents for a loan and therefore, our processes run 100 percent more smoothly. Transactions have also become virtually error proof; a member’s application cannot move forward without the completion of each required signature. This is a huge time savings, as a simply missed signature can cause significant delays and even impact our ability to collect on the loan.”

East Idaho is also using IMM’s iSign app, which enables employees to complete in-person eSignature transactions using an iPad to create an untethered, more interactive member experience. The credit union also cited IMM’s training courses as an extremely beneficial aspect of the partnership, teaching employees to build smart documents and eforms themselves internally as part of the offering, not a separate, additional service and cost.

High acknowledged that the uses of IMM’s solutions are boundless, and the credit union is exploring how it can expand the application of the eSignature-based technology to improve other transactions, such as the completion of membership applications.

“East Idaho can now more effectively serve its diverse geo-membership, regardless of where members live,” said John Levy, IMM executive vice president, and ESRA (Electronic Signature & Records Association) board member. “With automated processes for document creation, routing and signatures, the credit union is able to make the member experience even more expedient while delivering funds faster and easing the workload for its staff.”
